Simon currently is VP Privacy & Security at TomTom, ensuring the company to globally meet the growing expectations of customers and the increasing regulatory demands with respect to privacy & security. Simon focusses on connected, automated & autonomous vehicles and wearable technologies. By many he is considered to be a privacy & security thought leader in the space of Internet of Things, Cloud and Big Data.
Previously at TomTom, Simon was responsible for Technical Operations of Service Delivery, including TomTom Traffic and other location based services. Before TomTom, Simon held various positions in the telecommunications industry, the last being CTO at XS4ALL, the premier internet service provider in the Netherlands
