The IT Tallaght M.Sc. in Applied IT Architecture is the first of its kind in the world to be developed based on the Iasa Five Pillars.
For the first time, candidates can gain a full Masters of Science degree in this specialist area through a mixed learning process with an emphasis on practical application in the workplace. The aim of this program is to produce graduates in the field of Applied Information Technology Architecture with a systematic knowledge of the key issues and technologies in the field. Graduates will have knowledge, skills and attributes around human dynamics, business, technology and strategy, IT Architecture, IT Quality Attributes and Environments which will support them in roles as IT Architects. .
The approach taken to develop the course was to compare the master’s program ‘book of modules’ against the Iasa capabilities as listed in the ITABoK and perform a gap analysis to measure the crossover of the course structure and content with the Iasa material. This program was developed by IT Tallaght , Iasa Ireland, Irish Computer Society with support from ICT Skillnet and delivers an effective program to meet the needs of the ICT sector in Ireland.
