Scott Ambler
Scott W. Ambler is the Senior Consulting Partner of Scott Ambler + Associates, working with organizations around the world to help them to improve their software processes. He provides training, coaching, and mentoring in disciplined agile and lean strategies at both the project and organizational level. Scott is the founder of the Agile Modeling (AM), Agile Data (AD), Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), and Enterprise Unified Process (EUP) methodologies.
He is the (co-)author of several books, including Disciplined Agile Delivery, Refactoring Databases, Agile Modeling, Agile Database Techniques, The Object Primer 3rd Ed., and The Enterprise Unified Process. Len Bass
Len Bass is a senior member of the technical staff at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). He has written or edited five books and numerous papers on software engineering and other topics. He has extensive experience in architecting real-world development projects.

Angela Yochem is the Global Chief Information Officer at BDP International, enhancing customer value through innovative technology and driving expansion with a digital products line.
Angela built a track record of driving transformation, profitability and agility in complex environments in senior roles at Dell, Bank of America, SunTrust, UPS, and IBM. Prior to her executive leadership roles, Angela specialized in design and delivery of large-scale distributed systems and solutions to complex integration and convergence challenges.
Angela is a published author with Prentice-Hall and Addison-Wesley, a US Patent holder, and is a frequent speaker on technology, diversity and leadership at executive forums and events in the United States and abroad.
Grady Booch
Grady Booch is Chief Scientist for Software Engineering at IBM Research. An IBM Fellow, ACM Fellow, and an IEEE Fellow, as well as a recipient of the BCS Turing Lecture and the Ada Lovelace Medal, Grady is recognized internationally for his innovative work on software architecture. In conjunction with the Computer History Museum, he is currently developing a major transmedia documentary on computing and the human experience for broadcast on public television.
Paul Clements
Paul Clements is a senior member of the technical staff at the SEI, where he works on software architecture and product line engineering. He is the author of five books and more than three dozen papers on these and other topics.
Scott Whitmire
Scott Whitmire is currently an enterprise architect at-large. He provides architecture services to small and large companies. He has over 30 years of business change and software development experience, including serving as lead architect on a number of major applications. His interest in software engineering and architecture began over 25 years ago as he became frustrated with the state of the systems on which he worked, as well as those he had built. He has built or designed applications for several industries, including aerospace, manufacturing, professional practice management, financial services, wholesale, retail, and telecommunications.
Mr. Whitmire is the Chair of the Iasa Board of Education and serves on the Iasa Board of Directors. He is one of the original members of the Curriculum Committee, is one of the initial authors of Iasa’s definitions of software and infrastructure architecture, led the committee’s efforts to define business architecture as an architecture specialty, and is the primary author of Iasa’s Business Architecture course.
Mr. Whitmire is a Senior Member of the IEEE, an Iasa Fellow, and a CITA-P. He has published one book (so far), Object Oriented Design Measurement, and numerous papers, articles, and presentations. He is a frequent speaker at Iasa chapter and global events.
Miriam Grace
Miriam is an Iasa Fellow, Technical Fellow at Boeing, Chief Architect for Sales, Business Development, and Marketing, a CITA-P and member of the Iasa Board of Education where she has served as the Chair of the Curriculum Committee since its inception in 2007. Miriam has been a part of Iasa since 2005, starting with serving as co-editor of the original Iasa Newsletter, and contributing many articles and thought pieces over the years to the Iasa Book of Knowledge.
Miriam is a published author, holds a Master’s in Whole Systems Design, and a Ph.D. in Leadership from a Design Perspective. Miriam has taught at the graduate level and is deeply engaged in evangelizing for the profession of Business Architect at Boeing. Miriam also has a rich history at Boeing in the establishment of Business Architecture as a foundation to any IT Architecture work. Miriam teaches on how to create and sustain a culture of innovation at Boeing and advocates for the vital role that mentoring and partnering play in the institutionalization of that culture.
Richard Hubert
Richard Hubert started with Digital Equipment fresh out of the Masters program at Georgia Tech and ended up leading the DEC Unix Consulting Center in Europe in the late 80s. He then founded the IT-Architecture/MDA company Interactive Objects where he and his colleagues specialized in distributed system architectures (before they were called clouds) and won repeated design awards for their work in large projects across Europe.
In 2002 he wrote the OMG-Press/J.Wiley book “Convergent Architecture”, introduced the ArcStyler-MDA product line and won the top IT-innovation award in southern Germany as well as the European IST innovation award. Since the sale of his product company in 2004 he continues as a consulting architect at hubert-associates.eu and has served positions as chief architect specializing in Microsoft Azure development and virtual IT-centers as well as head enterprise architect for international companies based in Europe.

Max Poliashenko
Max Poliashenko is Chief Enterprise Architect at Wolters Kluwer, where he leads the Enterprise Architecture practice across its Tax and Accounting division focusing on architecture of its more than 300 software products in 17 countries on 5 continents. Formerly, he worked at Bank of America in its Consumer & Small Business Portfolio Architecture team. He also was one of the leaders in bank’s SOA and .NET centers of excellence. Prior to that, he was a Chief Architect in Small Business Accounting division of Sage Software.
Max is active in the IT Architecture community: he was one of the founders of IASA Atlanta chapter. He also served on IASA Architecture Education and Certification committees. Max is IASA Fellow, holds Ph.D. in Physics, Microsoft Certified Architect and CITA-P certifications, and has served on numerous MCA and CITA-P certification boards. In 2009, he was also named Microsoft MVP in Architecture.
Nick Rozanski
Nick Rozanski is a Lead Architect in the Chief Technology Office in Barclays Investment Bank in London, UK. He previously worked as the Head of Enterprise Architecture for BGI, and as an Enterprise Technical Architect for Marks and Spencer. He is particularly interested in the role and practice of architecture, and is co-author of the book “Software Systems Architecture” with Eoin Woods, another IASA Fellow.
Nick has worked in IT since 1980 and gained wide experience with several large and small systems integrators, including Logica, Capgemini, and Sybase. He has taken senior roles on a wide range of programs for clients in finance, retail, manufacturing, and government. His technology background includes enterprise application integration, package implementation, relational database, data replication, and object-oriented software development. He is also an experienced technical instructor and certified internal project auditor.
Nick was educated at the Universities of Cambridge and Manchester United Kingdom.
Roger Sessions
Roger Sessions is the CTO of ObjectWatch. His ObjectWatch Newsletter is now in its thirteenth year of publication. He has written six books including Software Fortresses; Modeling Enterprise Architectures and many articles. He is on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Software Architects, Editor-in-Chief of Perspectives of the International Association of Software Architects, and a Microsoft™ recognized MVP in Enterprise Architecture. He has given talks in more than 30 countries, 70 cities and 100 conferences on the topic of Enterprise Architecture.
Oliver Sims
With over thirty-five years’ experience in most areas of IT, Oliver Sims has worked in primarily in the Enterprise Architecture field. Currently semi-retired, Oliver has held leading positions in both enterprise middleware and EA consulting companies since the mid-1990s. Previously, he held a senior technical position in IBM, working with IBM’s largest UK customers, and with IBM’s International Technical Support Centre in Austin, Texas. Oliver was one of the first to prove the synergy between component-based software, XML-like interfaces, and distributed objects.
In the 1990s, he was chief architect for a highly innovative component container middleware product that implemented these concepts. A founder member of the OMG Architecture Board, Oliver has contributed to the development of MDA and UML2. He has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and has several books (including co-authorship of “Enterprise Service Oriented Architectures” and “Business Component Factory”) as well as numerous articles to his credit.
Jeff Tash
Jeff Tash is co-founder, president, and CEO of Flashmap Systems, Inc. (www.FlashmapSystems.com). Throughout his 30-year career, Jeff has specialized in emerging information technologies. His expertise has spanned enterprise architecture, software architecture, SOA, client/server, object-oriented, and relational technology. He is respected as a nuts & bolts strategist who has had extensive experience solving exceedingly complex IT issues. Eoin Woods
Eoin Woods has been working in the software engineering field since 1990 for companies including Ford, Groupe Bull, Sybase, InterTrust, and Zuhlke Engineering, in applied research, server product development and large-scale information systems implementation roles. Today, Eoin works for UBS Investment Bank as a software and enterprise architect in the exchange traded derivatives area.
Eoin’s main technical professional interests are software architecture, distributed systems, computer security, and data management.
Eoin holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Software Engineering from Brunel and Manchester Universities. He is a professional member of the British Computer Society and the Institution of Electrical Engineers, and is a chartered engineer (CEng) and chartered information technology professional (CITP).

Daniel Akenine
Daniel is working for the Microsoft Technology Office on the long term impact of technology on social and economic development. He is a member of ISO’s international expert group for cloud standards, board member of the Swedish Computer Society and EuroCloud, teacher at the Royal Institute of Technology and chairman for Iasa Sweden. He is also the co-founder of two technology companies and holds patent applications in Europe and the United States in applied cryptography.
Daniel has a previous history as a brain researcher at the Karolinska Institute, developer and architect at the Nasdaq OMX stock exchange and lead architect for one of the largest Credit Management systems in Europe. Daniel is also an established Swedish fiction writer and was the master editor for the bestselling “Book of IT-architecture”.
