As IT departments deploy more IaaS, PaaS and SaaS as part of the shift to hybrid cloud, its important to also shift network management to be more cloud-aware. Specifically, all those cloud-based applications, web APIs, services, and infrastructure platforms critically depend on the reliable and predictable delivery of increasing volumes of Internet traffic. IT teams need to establish systemic ways to understand and manage this mesh of interconnectivity. In addition, modern network traffic analysis using big data power and cloud-based tools are now available to give network engineers the visibility they need to make sound operational and planning decisions for the best hybrid cloud user experience.
